What Does MIA Accreditation Mean to You?

Marble Institute of america Accreditation Logo for Natural Stone FabricatorsThe Marble Institute of America (MIA) Accreditation for natural stone fabricators recognizes those companies that meet the industry’s highest standards for business activities, product knowledge, fabrication and installation.  The MIA accredits companies, not individuals.

To earn MIA Accreditation, a company must complete an intensive, rigorous process that includes documentation of its business and employment practices, letters of recommendation, a written examination and site visits, including OSHA inspections, to the facility and completed jobs.

For residential and commercial applications, MIA Accreditation signifies that a natural stone fabricator or contractor:

Blume's is the 18th fabricator in the United States to become  accreditated by the Marble Institute of America.

For over 60 years the Marble Institute of America has been the world’s leading information resource and advocate for the natural dimension stone industry.  MIA members include marble, granite, limestone, sandstone, and other natural stone producers and quarries, fabricators, installers, distributors, and contractors around the world. 

The purpose of the MIA’s accreditation program is to provide excellence in the natural stone industry and recognize companies demonstrating compliance with quality standards, so that the public values, has access to, and benefits from consistent, competent, and safe fabrication, installation and maintenance of natural stone.
