Anywhere you need a clean, non-porous and water-resistant surface that is both attractive and durable. Quartz is not recommended for outside applications and cannot be used for fireplace hearths and surrounds.
To compliment your countertop, the following bowl options are available at Keystone Bowls:
KeyStone® China Vanity Bowl
Mounting of customer provided bowls also available.
For more information on mounting bowls to this product, refer to Quartz Mounting Options.
Under mount bowls, stainless steel, cast iron, china, and composites are mounted to quartz one of three ways, A-Mount , B-Mount or Gravity Mount. Some bowls can be mounted several ways ; however some bowls can only be mounted one way. Please consult the manufacturer or Blume's for options.
With the “Gravity Sink™” you have contiguous lines at the “Stone to Stainless” transition
point. This means there is no need for the old toothbrush to clean these areas.
KeyStone® Quartz is a non-porous material. Due to this fact, it does not harbor bacteria and soap and water can be used to clean your top.
For stubborn residue, use of a non-abrasive cleaning pad along with a common household cleaner such as Formula 409 can be used followed by routine cleaning procedures. A plastic putty knife or scraper can be used by gently scraping substances that have adhered to the surface followed by routing cleaning procedures.
For the lasting beauty of your KeyStone® Quartz top, a hot pad or trivet with rubber feet must be used underneath hot pots, pans, or other heat-generating appliances such as crock pots, skillets, etc.
Cutting boards are also highly advised to be used instead of cutting directly on the top itself. This will prevent unsightly scratches. Take care not to drop, bump or move heavy onto the countertop.
It is important to avoid exposure to the following cleaners and chemicals:
Methylene Chloride or Trichlorethane (such as paint removers and furniture strippers), cleaners containing Alkaline or with high pH levels (such as oven/grill cleaners), Bleach, cleaners containing soft or hard abrasive materials, Pine Oil, Xylene, Toluene, Potassium Hydroxide or Caustic Soda.
Exposure to these chemicals and cleaners can permanently effect the appearance, finish and/or gloss of your countertop.
